Shock absorber manufacturers

Define how Ridepoint Sourcing should request samples and damping curves from shock absorber manufacturers before factories are asked for comparable terms. We coordinate requests; we do not manufacture dampers or grant OEM authorization.

Define the coordination scope

Requirement and confirmation ledger
Decision pointBuyer / supplier question
Requirements reviewBuyer supplies vehicle year/make/model, chassis code, corner position, length targets, spring/top-mount inclusion, drawings when available, packing unit and destination ZIP for the damper RFQ.
Supplier questionsAsk shock absorber manufacturers about production scope for loaded versus bare units, sample approval options, damping-curve availability, batch identifiers and documents tied to the proposed reference.
Quote comparisonSeparate unit cost, packing, freight, taxes, Incoterms and service fees before comparing so quotes stay on one total-cost basis. Note MOQ when suppliers state it; do not invent savings percentages.
Order handoffRecord approved sample scope, unresolved mount or spring questions, new versus remanufactured disclosure and each party’s delivery responsibility. Coordinating quotes does not imply factory ownership.
Kit versus individual linesWhen a loaded strut assembly is quoted, list spring, top mount, bearing, boot and insulator. When lines are sold individually, state which items the buyer must source elsewhere so packing lists stay comparable.

What to send
